locked in park

99 automatic sunfire - out of the blue just won't move out of park position. female and stranded car - any ideas??? thanks!

If its locked in park and wont move,either the shifter isnt moving (the lock wont release) or the parking pawl in the transmisson is jammed.Like you were parked on an extreme incline without first applying the parking brake.
