Question Right rear turn signal

I get a momentary flash when first energized but it does not stay lit. Front works just fine. I have checked wires from tail light to swich and see nothing chaffing. I have replaced bulbs and swapped bulb holders from side to side with no success. Could the flasher be bad?

Thanks
SB

Re: Right rear turn signal

Let's clarify a few items:

- When you activate on the right-hand turn signals, the front signal blinks in normal fashion (same speed, same intensity as 'usual'). Correct?

- The right rear signal energizes momentarily. Does it energize only a single time after signal activation, or does it continue to energize momentarily on each blink (all the while the front is blinking normally, correct?)?

- I'm presuming the left-hand turn signal works correctly, front and rear. Is this correct?

- Another item: Do you 4-way flashers work correctly (all four corners)?

- Yet another item: Do all marker lights (i.e., the lights that go on at the first detent of the headlight switch) work, and seem to be at the correct intensity?

This will help us debug...

#1. Correct.
#2. It barely lights a single time. Almost like it burns out. If you reset bulb it will do it again. Front flashes as designed.
#3. Correct.
#4. All work as designed except for R/Rear.
#5. All other lights work as designed.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Right rear turn signal

I aquired a real wiring diagram and did some more TS last night. I am backing off the flasher unit and am looking more at the Rear Electrical Modual (REM). I figure I have a weak ground and I am guessing the light grounds through the REM. Am I correct? The splice at the back of the van which would isolate out the RR tailight is good.

Thanks
