2001 Ford Windstar giving code 0183
Can anyone help me in finding out what this code 183 is? (Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit High Input) and where I can find the sensor. I went to Ford dealer today and they could not help me. I think they just wanted me to leave the vehicle.
Thank you

Re: 2001 Ford Windstar giving code 0183
Is the 183 code the only one showing if it is its should be a false code. I think I had the 183 and the 2001 does not have a fuel temp sensor.. I was tring to locate and never found it..When I did the 171 174 fix all the codes went away and so far so good almost a year now. Get the code cleared and see if it comes back. I have my on code unit that also clears them ebay has them for a 20 - 30 bucks, but they sometimes give you false codes.. 183 ,I think is a false code..

Re: 2001 Ford Windstar giving code 0183
I did go back and look and found that the EFT which is usually located near the fuel rail, does not apply on the 2001.. So the 183 is a false reading..I have the print out sheets my Ford parts dealer gave me and there no such sensor on the 2001 3.8 Windstar.. If you can clear the code... Hope this helps...

Re: 2001 Ford Windstar giving code 0183
code is cleared. now I'm getting code 0185. My air conditioner is not working after putting the freon and getting the hoses fixed. My front dash vents are not working except near the windshield and upper vents as well as the rear vents, but it's blowing hot air.
Any suggestions? |
