ChatRoom for 4th gen site?!?!?
back when the site was using a HB forum i created a chatroom for the site. stupid HB went down for like a month and so i don't think anyone even knew about the room. so it died as quickly as it was created.
EF9JDM (aka Daylight) created a room for some friends to chat. i would like to give it a try, open to everybody, and see if it gets used. if it appears that there are some people there at different times of the day, i'll hook up the old chat room again. it doesn't move as slow (for the 56K peeps) please stop by: temp chatroom i'm not for sure if it requires you have an AIM screen name. if that is the case, please stop by: www.AIM.com and you can create a name for free  let the chats begin.... ami

i will check out the chat room later. Right now I am at school and we dont have aim and it is not possible to install. (well it is but i could get in trouble)

I'd recommend everybody drop by once in a while, this is even cooler than the forum especially for newbies like me who have a ton of questions. So far I've gotten more answers because some of the technical people (like Ami) are there to answer them.

It won't let me in! I'm new to AIM so maybe there's something I don't know, but when I clicked on the link "join my chat room" nothing happened. I'm not using AIM messenger, could that be the problem? I'm using a universal service called Trillian (because in one program I'm logged on to MSN, yahoo, ICQ, AIM, and IRC, and can even log in multiple usernames of the same service eg. yahoo). Help! P.S. If anyone likes the sound of Trillian it can be downloaded for free at www.trillian.cc

Can't log in properly... Says: "failed to connect to server: Unknown Error Java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation Timed Out" Any ideas? I was using the default settings for chat server and room...

trillian sounds cool. But the problem is is that AOL doesent want other messenger services coming into its server, so its probably something they did.
