struck out in the JY, need a motor-mount.
the junkyard wont sell me just a motor mount, and the yard I'm getting my engine/tranny wont sell the mounts period (a D15 isn't worth the $7-800 the other yards were asking) So, it looks like I'll be SOL unless somebody can hook me up with a front motor mount. my side mounts are just fine but the front one is broken. If anybody has one reasonable, hit me up with the price and also get a shipping price so I'll know exactly what I'm in for.

Hey...I have a Q - why are u dumping in a d15 motor? If that is an EX it has a d16a6 in it (the same as the Si hatch)
You already have wiring for MPFI, etcetc...have you thought about $500 or so for a ZC engine?? On the Q about motor mounts...I am a little confused about which one you are looking for - There is only one real mount on the motor..on the driver's side - thru the timing belt, and attaches to the car just in front of the wheel...the other 3 mounts are on the tranny. If you are referring to one of those..I might be able to help you out..I think I have an extra set of mounts sitting in the garage with my ZC. - However, they are from a 5-speed...is yours manual Does anyone know if there is a difference between AT and MT mounts ??

the reason I'm not going ZC is because if one thing breaks on the engine, I'd have to shell out the money for another complete engine, besides that, the D15 I'm getting is already attached to the tranny I'm getting. compare $650 (cost of D15 and tranny) with $1100-$2000 for ZC DOHC plus $250 for another tranny. When I get my D15 I'll just do the MPFI conversion (assuming I can find new injectors reasonable) and run it with that engine until I can afford to buy a D16Z6 SOHC Vtec engine, rebuild it, port and polish, and drop it in. if say the block dies on the Z6, I can buy another Z6 block, or if the head goes, I can get another head, because those engines are expensive but available around here.
As for the mount, yeah, it's the one on the tranny right behind the radiator and yes, my car is a 5-speed.

I'm still looking for one of these mounts, it's on the tranny right behind the radiator. I'd like to find it pretty soon because I may be getting my replacement engine quicker than I expected.

it's the whole not having anything to drive thing that's keepin me from doing that, plus it'll probably take me 6mths to get it rebuilt once I get it.
