b16 to b18 swap ecu question

so i am doing a b16 to b18 swap in my hatch. i currently have a pr3 set up (odb1). I am putting an odb 1 b18 motor in my car soon. i was wondering if that pr3 ecu is going to work well with my new motor.

B18a/b or c?

You are sure you have an OBD1 ecu in your OBD0 car? There weren't many OBD1 PR3's made, that's why i ask.

Re: b16 to b18 swap ecu question

So if it is OBD0 pr3, are there any engines that would directly swap with a OBD0 b16 with little wiring headaches?

Re: b16 to b18 swap ecu question

i think you can put the obd-0 b16 parts onto the b18 but not to sure. bambam would probley know. but i wold go for the lsvtec but if you aint gonna buils it dont rev past 7k or else your motor will be back to b16 only. unless you jack up your head then you get nothing. but if you were just thinking of putting a b18a/b in its a nice drop in hp. but if were talkin b18c then thats a good gain in hp. idk good luck on whatever tho.
