Werid Noise ...can someone tell me what it is?
Everytime I'm driving my 1999 Ford Explorer I feel a pull or a jerk like. This most of the time happens when I'm going up hill. I got my transfer case fixed thinking that was the problem, and it still does it. Someone told me it might be my Transfer case Motor. Can anyone help me on what the problem might be? How can i check the the transfer case and transfer case motor to see if it is working fine?

How long has it been since your last tune up? A weak spark plug will cuause this symptom.

Re: Werid Noise ...can someone tell me what it is?
I was wondering if the plugs were the problem in the end. I've been trawling the problems on this site to find out what's wrong with my 2000 Explorer and your problem sounded similar. I've got an intermittant problem with a jerking/thumping which seemed to come from the transmission on accelerating and mostly uphill - it crossed my mind it could be a bad plug or 2 as it's due for a service having done 61k. I'd be interested to hear if you managed to fix it
