Stock Turbo

I was wondering if it was possible to take a stock turbo off a car and put it on a 99 cav? and the inner cooler

Re: Stock Turbo

Of course, you would just have to get the piping that would go with the cavalier. And it's intercooler...if ya didnt know.

Re: Stock Turbo

Would be alot easier and save alot of time just to buy one that fits the cavalier.

Re: Stock Turbo

You can basically use any turbo you want that fits the space.. its the exhaust manifold is where your problems begins. Those are engine specfic. Then its only a matter of getting the flanges to mate correctly. Many of the pre made manifolds are for the t3/t4 hybrid turbos.

Re: Stock Turbo

You cant just slap a turbo on. You need one that is appropriate for your engine size. If you have too big of a turbo, youll lag. If its too small, it will run out. Most stock intercoolers and small side or top mounts. You would be better off using a larger, but properly sized front mount. Seems like you need to research.
