Trailer Brake Control

I hope someone can help me with this. I'm wiring a Tekonsha trailer brake control in a 1996 GMC Sierra. The instructions say to connect the red wire to the cold side of the brake switch. Which wire does this get connected to? Does anyone have a schematic for this switch? Thanks for the help.

I have a 97 sierra and contacted the brake controller company directly for the diagram. I will look for it tonight and try to post tomorrow. The wiring was different than the directions stated. I had to connect the red to a white wire in the main wire bundle (factory taped and in plastic raceway) behind the e-brake pedal that lit up when pressing the brake. I believe the directions were 97 specific, but may have included the 96 as well. I'll look through my files tonight.

Here is what my instructions say for the Tekonsha controller:

1995-1996 GM Tow Vechiles:
The brake controller's RED (stoplight) wire splices into a specific WHITE wire on a 10-pin connector. This connector is locate to the left of the steering column. It is coming from the main loom of wires going into the instrument panel. The connector is WHITE and is wrapped with gray foam tape, it will have two WHITE wires exiting the connector. The correct wire is the WHITE wire located in corner (F position) of the connector. Splicing into this specific wire will eliminate any problems with electrical circuits associated with ABS or the cruise control.
