91 tbird gauge cluster problem

General question,
my tbird has a generic gauge cluster, speedometer, temp gauge and fuel. if i were to get a cluster with more gauges, oil, amps, etc for the 91 model, and plug it in, would it work correctly?

No!
Your wire harness is not set up for gauges. You do not have the sending units to operate gauges, you have switches to operate lights.
