Does the MaX have anti-lock brakes? Mine is 1996 SE

Only as an option. You should see an ABS control module with about 8 different tubes coming out of it near the brake master cylinder, if you dont, you don't have ABS...

Well that depends on your preference. I know of a few times I could have use ABS, but I know of quite a few people who don't like the Max's ABS system. I personally would rather have it, especially with our heavy cars, but Ive learned to modulate the brakes a bit better, and with my porterfield pads, I'm sure I can stop faster than an ABS max, for the snow though???? Way to much of a pain to ever try installing ABS in a non-abs max though, you'd have to change out the axles even!

i gues i like not having abs... but my brakes seem stop just as fast...it's like on contact.
