vehicle information system goes wachey in snow & rain

92 Bonneville, vehicle information system goes wachey during rain and snow. All lights come on, system alarm sounds, then goes blank. The system will reset after a few minutes and be fine. Is this a system ground problem? Where is this ground ? or is it the engine to frame ground. Car operates fine during this problem.

Sounds like a bad connection at the battery. Check all cables for corrosion both at the battery and the starter (+ cable) and engine block (-cable).

Thanks for the input. Is there a engine to frame ground other than at the battery?
