02 Elantra over heating thermostat????

I have a 02 elantra that overheats at speed.steam coming from overflow tube hose look good belts look good. fan seems to turn on sometimes but not all the time could this be a thermostat or water pump??? any help would be great .cant seem to find the thermostat either any help on that would also be very helpful Thanks

It could quite possibly be the thermostat. Could be many other things as well. Here is a pic to try to help you locate the thermostat. It's # 25500A in the pic.

If she only overheats at speed I would not suspect the thremostat. I would be looking at the electric fan/s (do they operate with AC on) or the water pump.
