rear axle seal leak

2002 GMC Sierra 4x4, 68k miles
I noticed gear oil on the pasenger disk brake and rim. I'm assuming outer seal. I know you have to pressthe bearing off.
How common is this? Do the one side or both? Anyone remember the typical technique, I'll did out the Haynes manual before attempting too. I like to hear it in laymans terms first.

I took the time to search the older posts and found some info on leaking outer axle seals; but figured there might be new people with new opinons.
