Clearhooter Coupe & One of the CH Saloon
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For those here who may be interested and haven't seen this beast yet. It started out as a "Homie Roller" '39 Chevy Roadmaster Sedan. I cut the roof line back to a coupe with a jump seat style. Then I channeled about 1/8" from the body. The hood was filled to make up the difference of the roof line change. The wheel wells were slightly enlarged to accomodate the wheels that came from a Miasto Porsche Spyder. Those were just way too big for that ride and I have some now that will work great on that. So that's a short way from being complete with opening rear deck and motor. The engine for the CH Coupe came from a HW's Rocket Oil Special. Its reminicent of an Allison V16 aircraft engine. So if you can imagine wedging something like that into an automobile you can get some idea of the mass this car would have in a 1:1 scale. The wiring for the engine came from guitar windings. The lake pipes were made from guitar string and aluminum tube. I'm thinking about maybe a continental spare tire on the back bumper. Hope ya'll like it |
