ABS kicks in on right turns

Happened maybe 3 times Saturday while driving the '04 venture.

Right hand turns, the ABS kicked in. No lights or anything, but I heard the noise and felt it.

Its been dry here - so water isn't a factor. I am suspecting brake dust build up, plan on taking the front tiers off and cleaning things up good.

any other ideas?

p.s. - also - the front tires are in BAD shape, will be getting new ones this weekend. will balding tires make this happen? the passanger front is pretty bad. perhaps this adds to the equation.
