Installing Aftermarket Radio
I've recently been trying to install my pioneer aftermarket radio and removed the stock monsoon updgraded radio from my 2003 Jetta GL. I wired up the pioneer radio and everything works fine except one problem. The power stays on for the radio all the time even when I pull the key out of the ignition. I tried the ignition wire with nearly every wire but nothing is solving the problem. If anyone has any solutions to this problem please help! Thanks!

Re: Installing Aftermarket Radio
You have 1 wire in the original wiring for the radio that is hot all the time. That wire is for memory.1 wire is hot only with the key on,that is for radio on & off. Or you could just try turning it off manually(the radio).
