help: P0705-Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacome, with 2.7L 4 Cylinder engine, automatic transmission, 4x4. The check engine light just came on. after running the OBD II i got a error code P0705: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction. Does anyone have any tips on replacing the sensor or assembly which it is part of? Can I buy a part from an auto parts store and replace it myself, and what part actually would need to be replaced? How would I get to the TRS to replace it?

Just because it threw a code dose not mean it is bad. Here is a link to the FSM. Troubleshoot before replacing parts.
