doesn't anyone realise that every government in every country uses propoganda in some shape or form

but yes the people should be spared and Sadam and his regime needs to be obliterated or to stand trial in Texas where the death penalty still exists

I don't see why Saddam Hussein should be removed from power, and I have never heard one good reason why he shouldn't remain in power.

"He gassed his own people!" No, he gassed the Kurds, who are lawless nomads who wander in the area. They have a reputation in Iraq for being thieves and cutthroats. Think of them as Arabian Gypsies. I don't condone this, but it sort of debunks that piece of propaganda.

He's been as good a leader and provider for his people as any other dictator in the area. If they're so interested in democracy, how about starting with the royal Saud family?

Yes, and then the US turned on him in the Gulf War. Saddam Hussein thought he had the support of America, because they supported him for 8 years against Iran, furthering their own agenda.

This is one of many reasons the Arab world has a strongly anti American sentiment, I can certainly see how that looks like playing Arabs against eachother to make them weaker and unstable.

Then again, other Arab nations did ask for our help. I have heard from my Dad and some of my co-workers (veterans of the Gulf War) that supposedly the Saudis were willing to pay extra money to every soldier deployed there. Bush Sr. however turned it down since that would make us more like mercenaries when we are supposed to be professional soldiers and such. Dammit, we could have used that extra dough. j/k.

Ah, but here is the catch. The dictators of those countries asked for help, because it was in their best interests. It's not the same as if Canada was to ask for help, or Sweden.

Sweden would probably say fuck off why do you think we concentrate on defenses? cause ours is a purely defensive army they can't be converted to offensive

I know this is true because i have been to sweden my dad served in the swedish army and on roads in the country side they have been widened to allow for aircraft take off and refueling

you can see the aircraft refueling points if you look into the trees

The Swedes are freaky why do they need all this defensive stuff?

Oh and the Russians keep driving their submarines into the Swedish main land. Up towards stockholm. I know this because i saw a russian sub then a swedish helicopter that came over to search for it.
