What is this part called?

I have a coolant leak from this piece and need to replace it ASAP but I have no clue what its called or where to find one. Its connected to the coolant tank and as you can see it splits radiator hose in two directions.

That doesn't work - I don't have that file on my hard drive, unfortunately.

Email it to me, I'll host it and then we can post it.

Re: What is this part called?

It looks like a standard tee fitting, except it looks to have a high-pressure hose fitting on the lower portion of it.

Yea T-fitting, you might be able to find one like that at a hardware store.

Re: What is this part called?

if its leaking take it off and go shopping around. but if there are sensor molded into it it could be a little more pricey.

Re: What is this part called?

I can see where it splits the one hose but where does the bottom part go to?
It looks like one of those 5 dollar prestone flush kits you buy at walmart.

Re: What is this part called?

It's both a T-fitting an a coolant flow restrictor. The resistriction is to prevent high volume (or pressure) water flow into the heater core at high rpms. For this to work properly, you need (a) an orifice restriction going to the heater core and (b) an alternate flow path upstream of the orifice that can reroute excess coolant (that's why there is a "T").

The one shown in the pix is for a 94-96 9C1, as evidenced by the 1T1 silicone rubber (green colored) hoses.

The plastic T/restrictor often leaks as it starts to crack, so a brass T replacement is a cheaper solution than buying a new one. IIRC there is also a pn for the plastic T-fitting/restrictor so you don't have to buy the T/restrictor plus crimped fitting and short green hose ($70+ if I recall right). You'll have to search on the ImpalaSSforum for it. HTH.

Re: What is this part called?

NO, they are not garden hoses. They are lifetime rated heavy duty hoses. They were factory on Police Package (9C1) Caprices.
