Re: Overdrive problems

I think I've heard that this can be caused by a bad torque converter, but I very well could be wrong here. Anybody else?

Re: Overdrive problems

I think that you are falling in and out of TCC lockup (not in and out of 4th gear).

It can be the torque converter but sometimes it can be the TCC Apply valve (http://www.transmissionspecialty.com...arts/77805.htm) which can be fixed without removing the tranny. The valve body does need to be removed.

Re: Overdrive problems

Thanks , just wandering would a transgo kit fix this also . Extra info when it drops out of OD a quick throttle burp usually puts it right back.

It needs proper testing with a engine/transmission capable scanner first to find the problem.
May even be a engine running problem.
Post back codes or transmission and engine sensor readings.
