hesitating

Recently, my Sunfire has started hesitating. It tends to happen when I accelerate from a stop, while idling and whenever I merge onto a highway, but it sort of random, it doesn't happen everytime.

Someone suggested that it was the fuel filter so I changed that (needed to be changed anyway) and it still happens. The only thing I could think of that I'm doing differently is that I switched to Shell Gas, but that shouldn't make any differance, should it?

Re: hesitating

This sounds like the same thing that was happening with my car a few weeks ago. When we checked the engine code, the throttle positioning sensor was bad. The part was around $40 and only took about 20 minutes to replace, if that. So far, that seems to have fixed the problem. Hope that helps!
