thinking of getting GTP

I am looking at a 2002 gtp fully loaded with 87000kms on it
I can get it for $12000.$can...I checked on carfax and the title looks clear..

Are there any problems out there I should be aware of?
Lemonaid book rates them only as average...

I will be putting 30000-40000km a year and was wondering if I should be concerned about the supercharger holding up....

I am also wondering about real world gas consumption as the need for premium kinda sucks...

These cars seem sweet...but how practical are they?

HOw much of a difference is there in driving feel between a GT and GTP?

Re: thinking of getting GTP

I've driven both, and the GTP is MUCH quicker than a GT. THere are many more modding options with the GTP to make it even quicker if that's what you want. I bought the GT because it's a daily driver, and I like the fact that I can run regular gas. Mileage for a GTP (correct me if I'm wrong guys) should be in the 18-22MPG range overall, with 30+ on a trip. I get 19-22 overall with my GT, and got better than 32 on a trip to Tennesee from Michigan doing 70-75 mph (depending on what state I was in). The only issues with the S/C are the snout bearings and coupler, which are DIY'able if you ever have an issue with either. GT's have the upper plenum failure issue, so they aren't trouble free either. If you want performance, go with a GTP. If you want economically priced fuel, go with a GT. I'm very happy with my GT, but there's always a time or two I wish I had a GTP.

Re: thinking of getting GTP

As you can see from the prior reply go for the GTP period. You won't regret it. If you are looking for fuel economy and that is a major issue for you then go Japanese.
