89' purchase question

Hey all..I'm in the market for another winter beater..I found a 89 hatchie 5 speed with 81k for $1,000...Seems pretty dame good for the price. Second owner who is 75 years old and uses it around town for the past bunch of years..He bought it off a women. Car looks clean in and out. I was wondering what questions I should ask or what I should look for that you all might kno off hand with this perticular model/year. Thanks for your help guys!!

Re: 89' purchase question

clean ass car for 1000 dollars, and only 81k miles, you can only swap 88-89 parts on your car, what do you mean by front end swaps? like jdm?

By front ends I mean well like the one is your sig I see some earlier civics with that front end I was wondering if it was somthing that can be done..But I guess not by what you said..So just 88-89 parts thats ok I'm not looking to get crazy just wanted to see my options winter beaters always end up becoming project cars lol

Re: 89' purchase question

if you want one like the one in my sig, you can buy a whole jdm front from passwordjdm.com or piece it together from ebay, its not that cheap though unless someone local is selling it.

Re: 89' purchase question

Damn thats a clean ass ride..only 81K? i wish i had those low miles. You should keep it somewhat stock and take advantage of its gas mileage. Oh and by front and rear ends i hope you dont mean you wanna body kit that car. Please keep it clean and dont destroy it by adding body kits. good luck
