Is there a MAF on a '93 LT1?
Hey all, I've recently bought a 93 z28. It seems to be running rich (smelly exhaust, poor milage even for a 350, etc) The motor is newely rebuilt, so there aren't any internal issues....Question is, When I did my CAI install, I noticed there wasn't a MAF. There is, however, a male ended electrical harness in the area I would expect the MAF to be....Any ideas? Did the 93 have MAF's? My research is inconclusive so far...
Thanks, Tim |

I don't think it's a MAF but it is similar in functionality. I don't remember what it is though...

Re: Is there a MAF on a '93 LT1?
No 93 was the only year LT1 F-body that was not a MAF system, it only used a Map sensor to register manifold pressure but all other years (94-97) used both MAF and Map to get a accurate read on incoming air.
