New Engine

I may be swapping to a D16Z6 real soon. A guy just offered to sell me his Long block and tranny for $100. I'm going to look at it today.

Re: New Engine

I may change too a two door as well. My body needs way too much work. I wish this guy could find time to show me this engine. I'll post an update when I find out about it.

Re: New Engine

Well, I'm going to try to look at this engine sunday. I found the body for an SI today that's in great condition and needs an engine. Looks like things might go pretty well for my performance itch.

Re: New Engine

SI's are pigs. If you're trying to go lightweight try for a VX or CX hatch. But if your getting a good deal on the shell, go for it.

Re: New Engine

Well he could always swap over to manual door locks and windows (entire door or door panels), remove the rear wiper, and get rid of all of the sound deadening crap; and then he'd be close to the weight of the VX and CX. But honestly the 150lb (or whatever) difference isn't really going to make that much of a difference. Personally I'd rather have the sunroof and power options over the weight savings, and that's coming from someone with a CX.

Re: New Engine

$400 and the body is in excellent condition. It's worth the 200 LBS
