ENGINE SWAP..help me out
so i have a 1989 ford thunder bird V6 3.8 non SC. But i want to get a 4.6 and supercharge it. How hard is it to swap a 4.6 on 3.8 mounts? I know i iwll have to change a few things such as the so fun to do "K-mount" Other than that how hard is it? ANY POINTERS!!

Re: ENGINE SWAP..help me out
Cancel what I said...apparently I can't read. Thought you wanted to put a supercharged V6 in. Sorry.

Re: ENGINE SWAP..help me out
dont bother. The amount of fabrication required would be mind boggling. The '89 had the 5.0 in it so you couldnt even find direct parts from like an '89 that CAME with a 4.6L I would recomend getting a stock '94+ that already HAS a 4.6L in it and supercharging that.

Re: ENGINE SWAP..help me out
Unless you have plenty of money this isn't really going to be worth doing. Does the car have some centimental value? Or do you just want to do it?

Re: ENGINE SWAP..help me out
It would be easier to just get the mounts to put a 5.0 in and with the right parts and less headache you could be just as powerfull. Plus it would be easier.
