Bmw M3 CSL

The new BMW Entwicklungschef Burkhard Goeschel wants to sharpen the profile of
the label again more toward sportyness. Therefore on new, still sportier model versions
one operates intensively. First project is the M3 CSL, a high speed version with 380 HP.
This lightweight construction version is to be presented starting from 2002 in small
number of items. Also for the two BMW coming starting from 2004 off the line a
m-version already is in preparation. This all-wheel-driven M2 gets one approximately
240 HP strong four-cylinder engine with four-valve technique. In testing are at present
two alternative solutions: an engine or a suction version with a drehvermoegen of up to
9.000 revolutions per minute, loaded by turbochargers.
