money for gas

i was just wondering what kind of gas milage u guys out there with turboed 4s r gettin. ive been keepin track of my mpg and im right round 28-29. im running 5 psi in my car right now and i want to go past that. i have all the fuel upgrades i need i just never put them in because these gas prices shot over 3 bucks. and seeing how i dont have a job right now and have no intention on finding one, i just cant afford to spend more.

Re: money for gas

I bet I could get better mpg, but I engine brake alot because my rear brake pads are SHOT and they squeel like hell if they arent hot. Im betting i could prolly bump it like 1.5 better if I just used my brakes all the time, or if I cruised around in residential areas in 5th gear at like 500 rpm...lol

Re: money for gas

something is just wrong with my car. it got a horrible dyno and i don't get that great of gas mileage.

i'm goingto try using some STP stuff or maybe seafoam and get it back up to par, but it is looking dismal

Re: money for gas

more power with less weight equals less "work" the engine is doing.

like my buddies s10 dropped a small block in it, and he gets better gas mileage now because he never has to downshift

Talking Re: money for gas

I don't think I even want to know what my mileage is. I might stop driving.

Thankfully my office is 70 yards from my room. Chow hall is a little further than that
