I was lookin in Jegs (a performance catalog) and i was looking at the after market tachometers with the shift lights that mount on your dash. Are these tachs more accurate than the factory tach? Do they illuminate at night so you can read the tach?I was looking into buying one and just wanted some feed back/ info on them.
p.s. I was looking at buying the 5" monster tach with the shift light from Autometer |

Are these tachs more accurate than the factory tach? Yes, my stock is about 200-300 lower at 6000rpms.
Do they illuminate at night so you can read the tach? Yes, too bright for me, I use my Monster tach as a hat rack to cover it at night. If you intend to Drag its needed, just a street car its kind of pointless, IMHO.
