Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

very nice

the glass and wheels look great!

nice handling of the reflection on the side.

slight buldge on front passenger side but not too distracting.

You might think about adding a touch of blue to your shading on the car it adds pop.

headlights are fantastic!

great job.

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

Thanks for the comments.

I really struggled with adding some blue tint, unfortunately my ref pictures
were studio shots with hot white lighting.
When I tried working in blue fades, it just looked too distracting to me.
I tried to use the blue gradient background to trick the eye into "seeing" a
blue in the reflections.

And, now I do see that the right-side front fender arc is too high compared to the left.

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

Lol......It's not one of my favorites either, but doing this toon
changed my opinion just a little.

Thanks.

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

Look's cool, the hood just look's a bit crooked IMO. You should make a drawing of the new charger with General Lee styling.

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

I made some changes to the hood line/profile after Lemorris' comment,
but forgot to post a new version.
I tried to post it up later.

Thanks for the comments.

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

I love it ... looks mean! Nice use of gradients. how did you do the background? Is that some kind of special brush?

Re: SRT8 Charger toon...

Thanks, in the Expression program, you have the ability to change the "paper texture" of a vector stoke or fill.

I used one called "brick" with a custom blue gradient fill for this background.
There are about 20 selections in the program for paper texture, like wood grain, denim, sandstone and towel.

edit: Added the updated image:
