which one would you pick

basically i'm gettin the itch to upgrade somethin on my stereo. i'm already pleased with the speakers and deck that i have so i'm either thinkin of getting an ipod interface adapter or sirius satellite. i'll give the run down on both situations.

the deck i have is the alpine CDA-9825. i'm looking at the KCA-420i adapter.
here's the link http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Sxn1Vpp...i&i=500KCA420I
i'm SORT of considering gettin an fm transmitter just to plug the ipod into but i would rather have it hard wired, and i could control it through the deck. as far as the ipod i would be connecting, it is a 60 gig video with about 25 gigs of music on it right now.

as far as Sirius radio goes:
We got my mom sirius for her birthday. i've grown quite accustom listening to it and in fact i've probably listened to it more than she has. best buy has an adapter type thing on their website http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1099396081101
that allows me to connect it up to my head unit and uset that as the satellite radio reciever. i know that i would have to pay a subscription price for sirius, but seeing how my parents are paying the main subscription, i can piggy back on them and pay 6.99 a month for a subscription (some family deal that sirius offers).

either scenario is the same price (plus the subscription fee for Sirius)
i'm just tryin to get some input here. i have the money and would rather just spend it on one of the two for now. i realize that the decision is ultimately coming down to me but i'm just seein what you all would do.

Re: which one would you pick

with all the ipod stuff out there, I would just get the adapter. The thing about the hard wired adapters like the 420 is that the ipod is controlled thru the headunit, and it charges the battery too.

That adapter sucks...

If it were one of the new full-speed adapters... then maybe.

But I LOVE my Sirius.
