Seat swap

I just got a set of leather seats from a 94 integra...
I swapped them into my 99 civic.
the front two bolts fit perfectly, the back two need to
be drilled in, what should i use to drill, shouldn't there be
threading....im not sure how to go about it ?? any suggestions?

Re: Seat swap

if anyone can help...i am looking to drill in these two rear bolts in. The front two bolts fit perfect, the seats sit even and level, its just the two rear bolt that are off about an inch or two. If i were to drill them in, is there a chance of hitting anything ie wires, exhaust, lines etc...

throw me a frickin bone here..

Re: Seat swap

Get a metal plate and drill the two holes in the metal plate. Tighten down the metal plate to the seat bracket and then line it up with your stock hole.

Re: Seat swap

I think you need to swap seat rails to make it fit prefect.

Re: Seat swap

are talking about the rails on the seat? some aftermarket seats doesnt come with seat brackets or may not beable to find ones that fit ur seat rails to the bracket to the floor, in which case you would be able to make ur own just by what i said above. i had to do it in my talon when i bought seats off ebay. they looked like APC seats but crapier. they didnt come with seats brackets. although u may be able to use seat brackets from tenzo, but never tried it, i just made my own. they hold up pretty good.

Re: Seat swap

No, by swap rails I mean swap the seat rails on the 94 integra seat for the seat rails on the 99 civic seat. The seat bottom and back from the teg should bolt up civic seat rails, and that will allow it to fit properly in the car.

I've never done that conversion, though I have a friend who's done the conversion a few times before. I'll be awhile before I can get ahold of him though. You do have to do some things, like witht he door panels and other parts, so it fits and the doors close right. It can look good when it's done though.
