Re: timing problem
Timing at 700 RPM idle should be at 10 deg BTDC.
What kind of work were you doing? Are the wires going to the right plugs and in the right order(double check)? Did you remove the distributer from the head? What procedure are you using to check timing? Is the engine warm or cold? Which mark are you looking at? Do you have any vac or intake leaks? |

Re: timing problem
all my plugs in order just changed plugs and wires and my intake gaskets cause i did have a leak. im using the timimg procedure in the haynes manual(moving the distr and trying to line itup). no i didnt remove the distr from the head and im using the 10d mark to line it up. the engine was at oper temp when i did this.
