the waiting game

last week i met this girl who was a friend of a friend's. i got her number and invited her to a party at my house on saturday. she said she'd stop by after work. around 1230 i drunk dialed her but no answer. she then called when my phone was off and left a decent size message saying she was to pissed off from work and wasnt gonna go.

then the next day, sunday, i call her rings but no answer. she gets my missed call and calls me back. she explains alittle more and i tell her about a camping trip me and my friends are planning saturday. i then asked her to a movie but she said she was working but will if she can get a day off.

wednessday rolls around and i call her went right to her voicemail so i leave a message to call me.

after no return i decide to call thursday. went right to the voicemail again. i leave another message telling her about a party friday night. now i'm in what i called the waiting game. it's been 2 days since the first message with no reply.


do you think there's a possibility i screwed things up? and should i move on to another girl or just wait for her?

what is there to move on from? You just met this girl once, if she wanted to go with you she could just as easily call back. IMO just forget about her.


My rule: Is she doesn't call back she is not interested.

I partially agree with Neutrino: Being as you've only met her once, there's really no 'right' way to go about this. Either she's interested or she isn't. My advice would be, don't worry about calling her right now and continue to play the field. If by chance she calls you back, great! If not, don't worry about it because she obviously wasn't as interested as you were, you feel me?

after those two posts i think i'll move on. sure am glad another girl i want to go out with will be at the party tomorrow.
