Need more out of my 91 DX

I own a 91 Civic DX with a D15B2 engine and right now i cant really afford a swap. I was wondering, my friend has a 91 crx si and he's putting in a B16. He said that i could take his intake manifold, throttle body and injecotors (from the Si) and bolt them onto my engine. Would this give me respectable gains or is it pointless. I know the engine still isnt as big as the Si, but i think it would definitly help. Please let me know if im going about this correctly and if its a good idea. Thanks for your help.

Why not just swap his old engine into yours. That way you will have 1.6

Yeh it'll give you gains. Not as good as swappin the whole thing but yeh you'll feel the difference. Is he giving it to you for free? You also have to convert from dual point to multi point.

i just yanked the d15b2 out of my 4 door yesterday. i'm gonna drop in my d16a6. i need to go from carb to fuel injection as well.

i think you will also need the reisitor box and a spare wiring harness. you could hack your stock one...but it's been my experience whenever you start cutting one without a spare...some freak thing happens and now your stuck without a harness.

one last thing...are both cars 5 speed or auto? because is one is MT and the other AT, you'll need a different ecu.

the cool thing about doing this conversion is that now your car will be fuel injected and you can do any swap in the future

Ami....Your 4dr is carbed?????? What year and model is it? I am pretty sure all the 88-91 sedans were fuel injected. You would just have to change from dual point to multipoint fuel injection.
