Exclamation E-Check Help....

Whats up every1. I Just bought this car it's a 93 Probe, & it Failed E-Check For Hydrocarbons & Nitrogen/Oxygen Compunds. I'm Sorry i realy don't know much about cars & was wondering if anybody could tell me what may be causing this?

If the cat is bad, its bad for a reason. You need to get it properly diagnosed. You can throw an O2 sensor, a cat and a tune up at it, but this is an awfully expensive guess.

Sometimes the real fix is cheaper than you would expect....but then, sometimes its not. But there are way too many things that effect emissions to give any realistic advice on this...it needs a shop.
