1992 Devile

My mother owns a 1992 cadillac devile and for some reason here 2 rear doors dont always open. It seems that at times they when you would think they would open then dont and the lock dont seem to have any give to it " if that makes any sence" i have tryed taking off the door panels and seeing if any of the lock or handle mechanical things were damaged or dirty but nothing. I would lke to fix this for her and if possible it would b great.

If anyone knows please let me know what there is to do and if u dont fully understand please leave me somthing too so i can make it more understandable .

THanks

Re: 1992 Devile

Does the lock button itself move when you press the "unlock" button?

Re: 1992 Devile

Sounds like the "cup" that the lock mechanism works against is ripped. There is a TSB on how to fix it. I had to do the same thing on my '94 Deville.
