`76 4 door maverick

This is what my 1:1 maverick will look like before too long...

I got the body from perries resin , wheels and tires are from the scrap box , the frame seats suspention and some of the motor is from the amt 67 `stang kit , the 5.0/AOD is from a 32 ford kit ( revell?). I had to ad torque boxes , front crossmember and move the leaf springs back about 1/4 inch to turn the `67 `stang frame into a `76 4 door mav frame but that wasn`t nothing next to detailing that dang 1 pice headlight grill and bumper .

Here is some progress pics...

Oh yea , the shock towers are from a `73 cougar ...

I hope y`all like it !

Re: `76 4 door maverick

Looks very good. I love the color, and the rust under the car looks very realistic. Great work.

Fantastic build, wish you had higher-res pictures!

I love alternative muscle/hot rod car choices, same with the stock-appearing '77 Monte I built. Really refreshing to see.

Nice work. I like how you frankenstiened it until you had what you wanted. Cool car, man.

Re: `76 4 door maverick

Thanks guys !

For the rust I just sprinkle rust dust over the wet paint .

"wish you had higher-res pictures!"

I wish I had a better camera too but my 1:1 mav is doing a good job of keeping me broke .
