Side air bag 2000 Impala LS

I was wondering if anyone has run into problems with their side air bags. I noticed that the bottom part of the cover has moved- (angled back to the rear of car). I am hoping this will not cause an unnecessary deployment or failure to deploy in a crash. Like I said it's only the cover that has slid back about half an inch towards the rear. I'm guessing it's no big deal but i just wanted to double check.
Thanks for any responses-
Tim

This is a trim cover only, if the sirs lite comes on on start up and goes off, the self diagnostics pass the check.
