Speedometer Malfunction

The Speedometer, RPM and fuel gauge stopped working on my 1996 Grand Am. What is the best solution to resolve this issue? Please help, thank you!

Daniel

Re: Speedometer Malfunction

Your BCM took a dump. It's located in the passenger side kick panel and is exposed to the elements. VERY common isuue on Grand Ams.

Thanks, excuse my ignorance, but now I'll go find out what a BCM is and fix the problem.

By your response, I hope you didn't think I was coming across snippy or something, if so I apologize. BCM stands for Body Control Module, and controls many instrument cluster functions and the keyless entry, etc... It has to be programmed at a dealer to match your VIN.

You weren't snippy at all, I just don't know too much about automobiles. I thank you for your response and information. Thank you.
