no charge
A friend of mine owns a 1989 Tacoma 4 wheel drive pickup. Something is wrong in the battery circuit. Sometimes when you start it up it shows that its not charging and its not, and then drive for a while and it will start charging. Happens at night and the lights will eventually almost be out then something happens and it will start charging. Is there a relay in the charging circuit that could be bad or what is in the circuit that could cause this.....Thanks in advance........

Re: no charge
Have the alternator checked, it probably has an intermittent problem. No relay in the charging circuit.

Re: no charge
Check all the connections to make sure they are secure and corrosion free.
