96 v-6 mustang questions......please help

hey im new in the mustang forums but my boy just bought a new mustang and we had some questions...........................

I was just wondering were the fuel filter is located??????????

and also how do i get the tensioner loosened on the belt?????????......what kind of tool do i need to loosen it ....i dnt recognize the tool................

O yeah and im going to be buying a 5.0 here real soon,,,,, so i might have to editmy name for you guys...................

Should just need a 1/2" ratchet to take the pressure off of the spring tensioner. Fuel filter should be located along the frame rail or somewhere inline. It will be on the fuel line after the tank and before the fuel rails for sure lol.

The fuel filter is located right infront of the fuel tank. You will need a standard screwdriver and a Spring Lock release tool that you can get from Kragen or Autozone.

behind it i believe, right before the rear axle, oh and heres a tip, take the fuse out of the fuel pump then start the car tilll it dies, then you wont have to worry about gas squirtingin your face
