Vibration while braking

Hey all,
I wanted to know if anyone knew what was going on?
When i apply my brakes, The car starts to vibrate and the steering wheel shakes really bad. You can really feel it when slowing down at high speeds. I wanted to know what could be causing this.

A friend told me that he thinks my rotors are warped, since the rotors of a Cavalier are so thin.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in Advanced

Paul

Re: Vibration while braking

Yeah just replace the rotors and pads, and it should go away.
Had the same problem with my 2.2, changed those 2 things and it went away.

Re: Vibration while braking

i have that same problem. well. i did. quite funny tho. i went out to the store to get new rotors. on my way home, i felt like acting stupid, so i was making a bunch of panic stops (nobody was around). After doing so, they warped themselves back into shape =S i didnt know it was possible. But its been about 2 months now and i havent had the vibrating problem. Braking hasnt been so smooth. I ended up taking the new rotors back to the store. hehe.
