Question brake problem i think?????

So here's my prob......I have a 91 t-bird v6 3.8 (thats not the prob lol) ,and somtimes when i hit the brake's , it feel's like the car jerks forward and I also hear and feel a loud knock ??.....I remember reading something on here the other day about a bare spot in the rotor or some crap like that .........any info on this would be helpfull........thanks

it sounds to me like your front struts are weak. push down on the front of the car a few times to get the suspension working. once you stop if the car doesnt stop bouncing right away you can bet the front struts are weak and need replacing.

i had an explorer that had the same problem, the rear drum brakes just needed to be adjusted. theres a small wheel towards the bottom of the drum facing the axle that adjusts the distance the shoes are from the drum itself. back it off a little bit, maybe a 1/4 turn, maybe a half and see if that makes a difference
