Forced Induction will always stress the motor more and make it live shorter, so thats right.

The euro E36 328i motor dont have a strong block so you cant boost more that max 0.8bar. The block will crack if you go over 1 bar. Supercharger from ESS is a good alternative for euro E36 328i, 0.5bar and 100+ hp more: http://www.esstuning.com/

The USA version of E36 328i DOES have a strong block and can take ALOT of boost. Check out this american guy that pushes over 630 rwhp on stock internals and have run 10`s on the 1/4 mile: http://www.bmwturbo328.com/
