popping sound in front door?

Front passenger door....when I take off or slow down, theres a popping sound. Im 99% sure its in the door, because when I have a passenger hold the door slightly open, the pop doesnt occur.
Ive looked at the pin bushings, one is cracked, but the door doesnt wiggle like my driver door used to.

Anything else it might be?

Re: popping sound in front door?

speaker? If I remember corectly there's a plastic vaper barrier under the door panel that it could also be.

Popping usually comes from something flexable, which is why I'm thinking of something simple like that.

Door pins and bushings need replacing.

Agreed. Mine was doing the exact same thing before I changed mine out. Give them a good look-over and see if they need to be replaced. If they do need to be replaced, you will definitely know they will look atrocious

Re: popping sound in front door?

Possible, also grab the open door and pull up and see if it moves - also if its really trashed the bushing mounting holes can be enlarged and even after bushings still move. Then there are the hood washers that are in the FAQ section, lower ball joints (grease them up and see if noise goes away), and many other possible noise areas - calipers, hubs, a-arms, sway bars, shocks, frame welds, fender bolts, etc.

The door has one bushing cracked, but it doesnt wiggle.
I just went through that crap with the drivers door, the hole ended up having to be welded.
Would the ball joints or all that other stuff you mentioned stop making noises when the doors open, though?

Are the ball joints connected to the door?

They are not related to one another although it could be the hood washers needing to be installed.

The clunk fix is in the FAQ section.

Re: popping sound in front door?

Do you hear the noise when you get out of the Blazer cause you are then unloading the suspension - unweighting that side and things move also like the shocks, torsion bars, etc so it is possible. If fact, not common but when I had a clunk/click under the drivers side when getting out it was a cracked frame weld and also heard when doing quick short go and stops that made the torsion bar flex opening and closing the crack. Bear to find and see under there with the undercoating hiding the metal.
