dome light

hi, my dome light in a 96 sl2 has 2 broken tabs on it i superglued them back on but about 2 weeks later it fell again.... so i am looking for a new one and the only place i can find one is on ebay but i kind of don't want to go that way but i know if i try to get a new factory one from a dealer it will be to much. so i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get one from. i don't care about which color it is.

Re: dome light

a broken/falling dome lamp in not uncommon, i beleave there is a TSB discribing an alternative repair, remove the lens and use a self tapping srcew to secure the lamp, be careful to use the right length of srcew as to perce the first layer of sheet metal but not the roof, then reinstall the lens. if needed contact a saturn dealership and request the TSB.

Re: dome light

the TSB did not list a size, only a part number and that it has a 7mm head, oh and i forgot it is a self taping but the lamp should already have a hole, since the plastic and metal isn't very thick, i would start with the smallest availible
