Intake job pictures

Here are a few pictures of my intake job. Hope they turn out ok.
Some deterioration.

Didn't look too bad.

Check out the area under the rear valve cover. No clean up done. Front was the same
I have used Havoline 10W30 exclusively

After the clean up

Before any cleanup. Notice the stovepipe. It was completely stopped up.

This is a severely deteriorated gasket in my opinion

For skeptics on the mileage. Also note where the temp gauge is. That's about where it stays now. For the last year it was right at 210.

Interesting pics. Deteriation is definitely noticeable. Looks as bad as Troy1 's LIM gaskets but he had no wheres near your mileage.

Nice Pics Wally. For your mileage it wasn't as bad as I thought it would've been. I like that you stuffed rags in the holes to keep foreign material out. Very smart!!! The cleanliness of the inside of your engine is a testament to Havoline for sure. Maybe you should call them and show them your pics. They may pay you a royalty for a testimonial.

If I made too much money, then I'd retire and get in trouble. Some guys over at Bob is the Oil Guy don't think it's so clean. One dude thinks you can go 300K and the engine look brand new. There was no sludge at all which I was happy with.
