Unhappy BBC header interferance

I got a set of Holley BBC Flow-Tech headers for my 70 Nova because their web site footnotes said they cleared the PS box and column shift linkage/brackets. WRONG!!! Anyone had this problem? I don't want a floor shifter and the #5 tube is resting right on the PS box corner right next to the upper left corner bolt. I think I can grind the column bracket where it hits the header tube, it only hits when in Park position, but the PS box is another story. Any ideas guys? Thanks

Re: BBC header interferance

Use a hammer and dent the headers where it hits the steering box

Re: BBC header interferance

Hey Tom hows it going? I bought a set of those same headers that we talked about last year and had the same problem. I ended up having to use a hammer to give it a love tap. Every set of headers I ever bought big block or small block always needed a love tap in the same spot
